Heritage Brick Restoration at Maddington Homestead
Maddington Homestead
A historic property with deep ties to Western Australia's past that had fallen into disrepair after years of neglect. Bricks Fix WA had the privilege of working alongside our friends at K&S Restoration to restore this iconic homestead to its former glory. After years of being derelict, the homestead was carefully rebuilt using period-appropriate techniques to preserve its historical significance.
Heritage bricks were sourced from all over Western Australia, ensuring the use of authentic materials that matched the original construction.
A significant part of the restoration involved rebuilding the small kitchen outhouse, maintaining its historical integrity while updating it for modern use. Additionally, measurements of the original chimneys were taken, and they were carefully dismantled and rebuilt identically to preserve the homestead’s architectural character. We took a triple fireplace stack down including the chimney brick by brick and totally rebuilt it.
Bricks Fix WA is proud to have played a pivotal role, alongside K&S Restoration, in the restoration of Maddington Homestead, ensuring its rich history and timeless beauty.
